Biography
A former middle school teachers in Prince William County, he came to the United States with his family at the age of 10. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, was deployed in Iraq, and taught U.S. history, civics, and mathematics before being appointed secretary of education for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
