Elena Zemmel

Charlottesville; Native of Tajikistan

Trained as a physicist (in spectrometry), Elena Zemmel and her family were granted asylum in the United States in the 1990s. She currently works as an administrative assistant in the Department of East Asian Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Virginia.
